| The Savannah Macintosh Users Group
is an organization dedicated to sharing information about Macintosh
computers, peripherals and software. We offer a wide variety of
services and benefits to our members; you’ll be learning more
about them as you move through this web site. In the end, our activities
all work in support of Macintosh users – whether they are
new users or veteran specialists. |
| We meet generally once a month. See the our news
page for the next meeting date and a map to the meeting site.
Members and visitors are all welcome, so if you are a SMUG member
or just want to know more, please come on. We look forward to meeting
you! |
| Formed in 1986, by Jim Alley, Al Jennings,
and Bob Rockefeller, SMUG has undergone many changes
throughout its rich history. The group started with three members,
but today the group is 60 members strong. |
Each meeting offers door prizes of computer goodies which are
given away to members. We've given away hundreds of valuable door
prizes from most major vendors, from Photoshop to games, from fonts
to joysticks. Annual membership is $30, with a reduced rate
for students ($10). There is no charge to attend our meetings,
but membership is strongly encouraged.
|
The Macintosh will continue to revolutionize the way people look
at computers. As time has passed, we have seen the Macintosh computer
adapt to the challenge of technology and stay in the forefront.
You can expect SMUG to evolve as well; The Savannah Macintosh Users
Group endeavors to be a continuing wealth of information as the
face of Macintosh changes.
